I want you to be ecstatic with my services not just happy. For me to make sure you feel that way I tend to take a lot more time doing the job correctly and I have to charge more for this. I am not the most expensive but I am nowhere near the cheapest when it comes to pricing. I don't compete on price. I compete on quality of service. If you want it done right I am the guy to call. I often hear people say things like, "It's just a termite inspection." or "Why do you charge so much more than xyz pest control?" Often in the moment it is hard for me to explain. I will say that the people who I work with regularly know exactly why. Home inspectors who I often encounter are always blown away by how thorough I am. They say things like "You should charge more for what you do." Realtors who at first balk at my prices but give me a chance always become believers afterward. Quality pest control is as much art as it is science. There are things to be found while doing a job that can direct your next move. If you aren't looking for these things they are easily missed. I am always looking for a way to do it better. At the very least I want to do the actual job I bid on. Just recently I did a termite inspection, found evidence of termites, did my report and gave a price to do the termite job. I am usually hired by the buyer to do the inspection but the seller can hire whoever they want to do the termite job if one is recommended. I heard from the buyer that the seller had paid someone else less than half my quote to do the job and it was finished. Great. I don't know how they do that but great. The buyer then asked me to come and take a look at something else on the property. While I was there I just casually glanced at the front porch and there was no evidence that anything had been done along at least half the front of the house! I looked closer. There were no drill holes through the outdoor carpet on the front porch, the carpet hadn't been pulled up to drill underneath and hide the drill holes that should be there and there was no evidence that a tunnel big enough for an adult to crawl through to get under the porch had been dug. Either the drilling or the tunnel should have been done. Magically though the structure had a whole house termite contract on it!
